We’re here, its Friday and look the weekend is next door.
If I’m perfectly honest with you all, I didn’t think I would make it past Day 3 never mind 5 days, I had somehow become reliant on social media to keep me in touch with people, when I should be able to reach out via text or calls.
It’s all too easy to think “oh I’ve liked their post they know I’m thinking of them,” when in reality, the human touch (so to speak) and reaching out to people is much more beneficial and beautiful.
I’m certain O2 will start checking in to find out why I’m using texts and calls more than data, I’ll definitely taking the unlimited to the limit.
My screen time is down over 50% from last week, the only time I scroll through my phone now is when I’m adding food to my fitness pal or updating my steps on my Team RH app.
I LOVE that we all share on social media, but sometimes we probably all share a little bit too much, arguments with loved ones or family members don’t need to be aired in such a way. I am guilty of oversharing sometimes, and in the last few years I have become more guarded with what I share and who I share it with.
If after these 90 days I choose to turn my apps back on I will be having a good old sort out and sharing with only those people who mean the most to me.
So, what have I done this week, well I’ve started getting into a new routine, gym days are set, housework is totally on top of and I’ve even started to declutter rooms and making lists of job that need to be done.
None of this would have been done if I hadn’t given up my socials, do I miss them sometimes, I miss seeing people’s faces, do I miss the drama and the arguments, hell no, I feel so much calmer. I’m a little sponge at times and I absorb all the energies around me, now I just have myself and the crazy dog to keep me company.
Hope you’re all enjoying this journey so far, I’m loving live journalling it all.
